My name is Kimberly H. Miller, I've been a certified K-12 educator and administrator for over 20 years and I have enjoyed every minute of it. 

But one of my favorite things to do is authoring Urban Children's Realistic Fiction and Non-Fictional Literature. I love to write about my children and family members. My husband and I are the proud parents of seven children and ten grandchildren. So educating children is a huge part of my life. 

I started writing stories over seventeen years ago to teach the students in my classroom how to be more descriptive in their writing.  After producing several books in my classrooms, I began creating stories about my family and eventually decided to publish them to share with the world.  My books feature characters of color so that all urban children can read about, connect with, and see characters that look like them.

My books are under the umbrella of Ommy'z World.  Ommy is a everybody’s grandmother. She cares for and nurtures the diverse diaspora of cultures and ethnicities of children all over the world.   Ommyz World books a stories From the mind of a child to the pages of a book.

Dr. Newt has been committed to the education arena since 1990 when he converted non-traditionally from the ranks of the engineering field. He has since served as a teacher and administraor on the K-12 level an educational consultant for a national education reform organization and currently serves on the academic leadership team in the Department of Education and Liberal Arts at Ashford University in San Diego, California.  Dr. Newt's research lies within urban education focusing on the systemic thinking tied to student achievement and effective school cultures in urban settings.

Dr. Newt has committed his life's work to educating, motivating, and helping others grow.  He has provided hundreds of wisdom-filled motivational messages, developed leadership trainings for both corporate and community-based organizations, written dozens of academic publications that edify at-potential learners and those that educate them.
